Legal

Right of Withdrawal

This page describes your statutory right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU — the legal minimum of 14 days. At Deluxerie we voluntarily extend this: our 30-day return policy gives you more than double the statutory window, on your side of the deal. Whenever both apply, you can rely on whichever suits you better.

Your 14-day right

As a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the day you (or a third party you named, other than the carrier) received the goods — without giving any reason. To meet the deadline, it's enough to send your withdrawal notice before the 14 days expire.

How to withdraw

Inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement — an email to return@deluxerie.net is easiest. You may use the model form below, but you don't have to. We'll confirm receipt of your withdrawal by email without delay. The fastest route is our return portal at returns.deluxerie.com — a withdrawal handled there gets a return label and tracked processing. An email works equally; we'll confirm and guide you through the same steps.

After withdrawing, send the goods back without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of your notice. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods — unless you opt for store credit or an exchange, where the label is on us (see our return policy).

Refund

We refund the amounts paid for the returned goods within 14 days of the day we receive the goods back — or, if earlier, the day you supply proof of having sent them. We use the same payment method you used, at no fee. We may withhold the refund until we've received the goods or proof of return.

The law gives us 14 days from receiving the goods back; in practice we complete inspection within 15 days of arrival and approved refunds typically land within 5–10 business days.

Exceptions — please read before opening

Under Article 16(e) of the Directive, sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons lose the right of withdrawal once the seal is broken. Most of our products ship with such a hygiene seal: while it is intact, your right stands in full; once broken, the statutory right no longer applies. Our return policy describes what we can still offer in that case, at our discretion.

Under Article 16(e), goods made to your specifications lose the right of withdrawal — this applies to our made-to-order handmade leather pieces once production has started.

Items showing signs of wear, washing or use beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics may be subject to a deduction for diminished value, or rejection under our inspection policy.
